In
September 2003 Beyond Audio Visual was awarded the contract to supply
and install the complete audio visual and lighting requirements
of the recently refurbished Newtown RSL Club (now identified as
@Newtown). This involved providing a sophisticated background music
and paging system with remote control capabilities as well as two
independent stage and entertainment sound and lighting systems for
use on two levels. The club is currently enjoying great success
and popularity.
Designed by
Paul Kelly and with lighting and audio installed by Beyond AV, the
club is the epitome of inner city chic.
Level 1 has
a small stage lit by half a dozen Kupo par cans whilst Level 2 has
a much larger stage with a MEC rectangular truss configuration.
Lighting is provided by eight Geni Oby 3 moving heads, a further
twenty-four Kupo Par64 and four Geni Spyro effect lights. Control
is by a Martin Freekie controller and an LSC Maxim desk.
Audio on Level
2 is provided by a full Martin Mach sound system including four
M129i speakers flown from the ceiling.
The relationship
between our organisation and Newtown RSL is derived from the very
long relationship and history our company has had with Petersham
RSL Club. We have been involved in every major upgrade of audiovisual
and lighting systems Petersham RSL has had since 1995. |
